Lead Advisor - Planning and Performance

Our newly formed directorate, Group Services purpose is to help create an Auckland we can all be proud of. Our vision is to ensure our customers love us for the difference we can make, and our people feel excited, proud and energised.

Reporting to the Head of Head of Strategy and Planning, you will oversee the implementation of  council’s integrated performance framework and support the organisation to meet its strategic performance objectives; and be responsible for our performance cycle including connecting our enterprise performance goals from our strategy through to business planning, team planning and individual goal setting.

You will be responsible for responsible for managing Auckland Council’s integrated performance framework and coordinating with various teams which contribute to the different components of the framework and Develop and deliver the annual strategic planning process for council and provide advice and guidance to business units on best practice performance management and planning that is relevant to Auckland Council.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you
 

Tertiary qualified in business, human resources, economics or similar, you will have 10-12 years’ experience in areas related to performance management or organisational performance and demonstrable experience in developing and embedding driving performance frameworks.
 

You will bring prior experience in leading complex, cross functional projects and aligning with diverse stakeholders and have the ability to apply solid business principles to complex programmes. Commercially astute, you with the ability to identify and deliver business benefits and have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to effectively build constructive relationships.


A strong influencer and communicator, you will build constructive relationships and have high level of problem solving and decision making skills, using professional judgement. You will have a strong understanding of our Māori Responsiveness framework and Te Tiriti obligations in order to help drive the division’s Māori Responsiveness Plan and continue to build capability and confidence across the division.
