He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

Auckland Council’s Financial Strategy department has an opportunity for a Lead Advisor Financial Data and Modelling to join the Financial Data & Processes team.

 

Your focus would be to ensure that the Council’s financial systems, processes, data and models can effectively and efficiently support the work of our department. This includes the department’s work on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting work as well as non-financial plans and reports. It also includes the department’s work in relation to CCOs and Local Boards.

 

You might expect to work on:

  • Ensuring that financial systems and processes are always able to efficiently supply quality-controlled data to users
  • Working with both the Financial Control and Financial Advisory teams to ensure that actual results are available on a comparable basis
  • Champion moves towards the provision of easy to access high-quality on-demand data and information for both internal and external users.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

To be successful in this role you will have 10 years’ experience working with financial data and systems, ideally from within large and complex organisations. 

 

We will also be looking for specific experience with:

  • Technical knowledge of financial systems, data structures, models and processes
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering process improvements
  • Prior experience in successfully implementing significant changes to a major financial system

This role has a remuneration range of $145k-$155k
