He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Te Waka Tai Rangawhenua is dedicated to supporting co-governance initiatives. Te Waka Tai Rangawhenua plays a vital role in the end-to-end delivery of operations and governance support for the co-governance entities Te Kaunihera partners with. We are now seeking to fill the role of Kaihautū Hōtaka (Kaupapa Waihanga), where you'll be at the forefront of shaping the co-governance strategy. You'll support and inspire those around you, and with your strategic vision, you'll guide all initiatives to be approached through a Kaupapa Māori lens, promoting the continued success of co-governance in Tāmaki Makaurau..
This is an opportunity to be involved in exciting work programme and projects in a co-governance environment. You will work on strategic operational projects, an contribute to achieving outcomes for Co-governance entities.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You will have a passion for kaupapa Māori, and confidence working in a Te Ao Māori setting. You will have the ability to build collaborative relationships with a broad range of people and have experience with relationship management. You will be results orientated, organised, well planned and capable of managing project and budgets. Ideally, you will have an understanding of local or central government.
You are a strategic thinker who can focus on getting complex jobs complete on time. You will be systems orientated with a passion for getting to the heart of problems and finding practical and efficient ways to resolve them. You will be able to be flexible and adaptive to issues the team or your program is faced with. A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is required (engineering, construction, architecture). At least 5 years of experience in capital works and project delivery, including renewals projects, Prince 2, PMP, CAPM, C3PM or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and working with mana whenua in co-design also desirable.
