He angitūtanga: The opportunity

At Auckland Council, we are redeveloping our intranet Kotahi to make the most of our size and scale with a fit for purpose tool that connects our complex and diverse organisation and empowers our people to do their best work. This is a rare opportunity for a Change Manager to join our highly motivated project team.

Your role as Change Manager will be to design, develop and deliver change management activities to support the Kotahi Upgrade project while maximising employee adoption of, and minimising resistance to, new ways of operating. Working closely with the Project Manager and Kotahi Lead, you will be the bridge between the project team and Kotahi’s end users. In short, you will provide the project workstream leads, sponsor and business/benefits owner with the tools, coaching and support required to make the refreshed Kotahi a success.

He kōrero mōu: About you

We are looking for a self-motivated, super-organised individual with a deep knowledge of and experience in business transformation and organisational change, preferably in a large and complex organisation. A high degree of initiative and the ability to balance competing demands is essential. You will have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as the ability to build relationships and engage effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders at every level of an organisation. An IT savvy professional with sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of software, especially SharePoint, Yammer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, is a key requirement. Additionally, appreciation for the complexity of working in a political and high-profile environment is vital. If you are driven and passionate about delivering to a high standard we want to hear from you.

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer

If you are a change management champion and enjoy the challenge of being part of a high-profile change project then this is a fantastic opportunity. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop your career while influencing Auckland Council’s internal engagement. We offer a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements and a passionate collaborative team environment.

Apply today (telling us your story and why you are interested in and right for this opportunity) by cover letter along with your CV. If you are an internal candidate (not a temp or contractor), please apply via the Tupu internal careers page.

Applications close Monday, 26 August 2019.

Please note that we may, however, be considering applications as they are received so please do not delay in applying.

Auckland Council is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) and we are committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion. If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at the time of application to assist you through the recruitment process.
