He angitūtanga: The opportunity
 
We have an exciting opportunity within our Insurance and Claims team for an Insurance and Claims Advisor to join us on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Resilience and Insurance Manager you will provide claims and insurance management services and expert advice to Auckland Council and council-controlled organisations.
 
In this role you will be responsible for
providing insurance advisory services, including obtaining ad hoc insurance covers as required, managing claims lodged by different council divisions and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain good working relationships.

He kōrero mōu: About you
 

You will have great customer service and interpersonal skills and are able to connect easily with members of the public and key stakeholders. Developing and maintaining key relationships across council will be at the heart of what you do, and you thrive on being an effective communicator and team player.
 
You will also have: 
•    At least 2 years of experience within the insurance industry
•    Liability claims experience is desirable 
•    ANZIIF qualification would be desirable
•    Knowledge of claims management procedures and processes
