Auckland Council is at the start of our SAFe journey.  This presents a unique opportunity for an ICT professional to come and join us in this exciting journey.


The Auckland Council ICT Business Systems team is a growing and progressive team which works across the wider Council, to deliver technical consultancy and applications to enable business units to provide excellent customer service and meet their strategic objectives.  Some of the key areas we work closely with are customer services, leisure centres, libraries and many more.  We are all about continuous improvement & continuous learning to keep up to speed with the latest technology trends so we can best advise our customers.

Being part of the Business Systems team means you have worked with different types of business applications with some understanding of application design & architecture and experience implementing a range of applications throughout your career and providing the necessary support on these applications for our customers.


You will be working mostly with the ICT Libraries Business Unit and also with multiple business units, vendors and your ICT colleagues to implement complex technology solutions using a mixture of SAFe & waterfall methodologies.  You will need to bring your solution delivery and great problem-solving skills to help resolve complex application issues.


He kōrero mōu: About you


It is essential that you have at least 3+ years of broad experience in ICT, along with at least 2+ years involvement in the implementation of diverse business applications in a complex business environment.  Experience with Agile and/or SAFe would be an advantage but not essential as we are willing to train the right candidate.

Your knowledge in the end-to-end implementation and support of diverse applications in complex business environments, preferably in the libraries space and your exposure to technologies such API management platforms, digital and web service solutions will contribute to the success in this role.

Since you will be liaising and facilitating activities between our business stakeholders, vendors/partners and other ICT teams your excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management will be heavily put into practice.
