He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for an authentic, innovative, and Leadership Capable Head of Events Security to lead and oversee the effective delivery of Security and Visitor Safety Operations before, during and after events. A varied role with key a focus on workforce optimisation, regulatory and legislative maintenance, enhancement, and execution, our appointed person will play a critical part in shaping our comprehensive operational Health & Safety and Business strategy.


Reporting to the GM of Security & Visitor Safety, this exciting opportunity will see you work closely with our leadership teams across Auckland Stadiums, Auckland Live and Conventions, Auckland Zoo, Maritime Museum, Auckland Art Gallery and much more to develop and deliver risk assessment initiatives and planning that ensure events-based activities are safe, secure and operating in a controlled environment.

You will have the ability to build strong working relationships that adds value by providing insights and recommendations that help us on our journey to meet our goals and deliver on meaningful mahi.

With your comprehensive understanding of the Security Industry coupled with exceptional analytical, planning and execution skills, you will not only thrive but be instrumental in the success of all our events. You will be methodical and will want to use your exceptional experience, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to make a real difference!


Ideally you will bring with you strategic planning and projects experience, an innovative and outside-the-box thinker who can see the bigger picture and can dive into the details to provide recommendations and solutions. You have a proven ability to foster collaborative thinking and can build solid relationships with key stakeholders
