Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) is the region’s economic growth agency. Our purpose is to support the growth of quality jobs across Tāmaki Makaurau. We’re committed to improving economic outcomes for Māori. We have a key need for a Growth Programme Specialist to design, develop and deliver programmes that support Māori economic development that are aimed at scaling business support. By supporting Māori businesses to be more productive and sustainable they will thrive and provide quality jobs.

 

You’ll work flexibly across a range of sectors and disciplines to develop programmes and projects in collaboration with external partners in accordance with the principles of kotahitanga, as applied by ATEED. We take this approach to be transparent with partners and seek their active engagement at all levels. We aim to create a “multiplier” effect in terms of the number of projects and activities capable of being managed across the Auckland economy, leveraging the capabilities of partners in lead and support roles.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

Excited and able to create, design and deliver projects that deliver economic outcomes for Māori in Tāmaki Makaurau, you take ownership and get satisfaction in delivering great outcomes. You have relevant industry, business or economic development experience and an understanding of tikanga Māori. You’re an exceptional communicator and crucially, you demonstrate an innovative approach and enthusiasm that allows you to establish and maintain successful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across Auckland. With a well-developed understanding of partnering models and channel strategies, you’re seeking a role where what you do adds value and really makes a difference to the development of Māori in Tāmaki Makaurau.
