He angitūtanga: The opportunity

As a Grants Coordinator you will support Auckland Council’s Grants & Incentives team as they implement and evaluate a range of local community grant schemes in accordance with the Auckland Council’s strategic direction.

 

You will provide administration and logistics support to the unit and will proactively participate in the improvement of grant processes. This will mean working closely with not only the Operations Support team but other departments within Auckland Council such as our Elected Members and Local Board Staff.
 

You can expect to work on:

  • Supporting subject matter experts to establish grants in the appropriate manner
  • Processing payments to successful applicants
  • Reconcile and investigate documentation to ensure accuracy, 
  • Coordinating the opening and closing of grant rounds
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you will need to have experience working with Grants or with community projects, ideally from within large and complex organisations. 

 

We will also be looking for a strong communicator who can build strong relationships with internal/external customers.
