Be a part of the largest divisions within Auckland Council, with more than 5000 members of staff delivering critical, frontline services to Aucklanders. 

The Grants Advisor is to implement and evaluate a range of environmental grant schemes in accordance with Auckland Council’s strategic direction. Tasks include:
•    Supporting the design and development of effective environmental grant schemes that meet council and community objectives, through influencing council policy
•    Implementing the agreed grant schemes to a high quality
•    Supporting the capacity of community groups to access this funding, including the provision of communications and workshops
•    Providing robust and sound advice to decision makers
•    Work closely with grant staff in Commercial and Finance and Infrastructure and Environmental Services to ensure processes and systems are streamlined and effective
•    Provide timely and accurate advice on contestable grant programmes to internal and external customers.

You will have experience working with Grants and environmental projects and the ability to build strong relationships with internal/external customers.  A problem solver with the drive to make the unrealistic happen. A communicator that can develop and deploy the resources that help deliver business outcomes

In return, you’ll be working closely with not only the Operations Support team but other departments within Auckland Council (eg. Elected Members, Local Board Staff and Environmental Services, plus many more) Working Monday to Friday with the chance to travel around the Auckland Region. Continuous development and flexibility!
