Join Our Vibrant Events Team! 
Auckland Council is seeking a dedicated Event Co-ordinator to join our Event Production team. If you are passionate about events, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are ready to contribute to Auckland's exciting and diverse event landscape, this role is for you!

 

As the Event Co-ordinator, you will support the Event Organisers throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring the seamless delivery of Auckland Council events.Your role will involve working closely with the Production team, coordinating a range of activities, and ensuring events meet the high standards expected by the Council.
 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Event Organisers with planning and execution.
  • Coordinating logistics such as health and safety plans, site maps, and zero­ waste management plans.
  • Supporting financial tracking and procurement in line with Council policies.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sponsors and community groups.

  • Experience: 2-3 years of event or project management experience.
  • Qualifications: A Certificate or Diploma in event management or a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, innovative problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. You'll need to work well both independently and in a team.
  • Customer Service Focus: You'll have experience managing relationships with stakeholders and be comfortable working in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Full and Clean Driver's Licence: Essential for the mobility required in this role.
