Auckland Live and Conventions is a key cultivator of live events in Auckland. We champion Auckland internationally to attract big-name shows and concerts, collaborate with arts companies and festivals and introduce children to the excitement of the stage.

 

Auckland Live and Conventions presents events across Auckland’s major performing arts venues and stadiums - Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, The Civic, Aotea Square, Bruce Mason Centre, Mt Smart Stadium, QBE Stadium, Western Springs Stadium, Shed 10 and Queens Wharf.
 
We are seeking a talented, professional Duty Operations Manager to manage the onsite delivery of events across our premium portfolio of venues. 
 
You will be an integral part of our events, understanding the logistics and set up required every day.
This will involve briefing and managing event staff for theatre shows, being the main point of escalation, resolving health and safety and ticketing issues and ensuring an exceptional customer experience for all clients and visitors.

Our ideal candidate is a talented people leader with proven experience in Hospitality and Events. You're an approahable and communicative leader, and you know how to effectively manage all operational aspects of conference and event venues. 
 
You will have a professional and approachable manner, with the ability to think on your feet, problem solve and maintain flexibility at all times, while also having the ability to think outside the square, challenge the way things are done and always look for ways to improve the customer experience.

 

Having a minimum of two years’ experience in a Duty Operations Manager role is desirable.
 

This is a busy and varied role and will suit a resilient, driven operator who is capable of working under pressure and above all is focused on service excellence.

We have a permanent, full-time role available. This role has rostered shifts over 7 days which will include nights, weekends and public holidays, dependent on the events we are holding.
