Here’s an exciting opportunity to join the group services Operations team at Auckland Council. In this role you will provide and deliver data platform and database solutions and services through technical advice, design, development, implementation, project and operational support. This will be delivered in both SQL and NoSQL and ensure delivery of data security and privacy policy.  

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

The ideal candidate for this role will have 7+ years’ experience in database management across diverse platforms. With sound MSSQL relational database knowledge and some experience of unstructured database systems. Sound knowledge and understanding of AGile and SAFe practices and a relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Science or Computer Engineering. 

 

  • Provides primary level operational support of data platform and database management systems, including consulting services, designing, planning, execution and acting as a key project resource.
  • Managing highly technical database tasks such as setting of highly available database environments for mission critical systems
  • Provides expertise in troubleshooting and tuning complex database performance issues.
  • Champions and takes the lead in keeping Council's data safe, secure and supported through on-going pro-active lifecycle management and patching of the data platform environment.
