As a Venue Protection Officer, no two days are the same; one day you may be on a stage door and the next, be patrolling the Auckland Town Hall. You will respond to emergencies and provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.  You will ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel and visitors to our venues.
 
You will get to experience world-class performances that visit from all around the world and interact with members of the public, events staff, and performers across Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, The Civic, Bruce Mason Centre, Mt Smart Stadium, QBE Stadium and Western Springs Stadium, and Queen's wharf.

You will be the first point of contact at our iconic venues so first impressions will count every day. You will have excellent customer service, and going the extra mile for our customers is key in this busy role. You'll have strong communication skills with a customer focus, be a natural problem-solver, and have a positive team ethic. You will present a professional front both in your behaviour and appearance.  You will take pride in always doing the job well and knowing that you are contributing to the experience of people who visit Auckland’s iconic venues..

You don’t need to have experience in security as you will be embarking on a training journey that will provide you with qualifications in the security industry along with ongoing professional development through a range of courses.
