Are you passionate about shaping the future direction of customer information services at a regional level? We are excited to be recruiting for the new role of Customer Information Services Lead role within Libraries and Learning Services.
This role is within the Researcher Services Online team and will be responsible for developing direct, forward-looking, information services to support Aucklanders in their access and use of our library services.
This is an exciting opportunity to:

Provide professional leadership in navigating emerging information challenges

Design and deliver a new regional approach to online customer information services that is responsive, inclusive, and future-focused.

Champion service excellence by ensuring customers have access to accurate and easy-to-use information services and are supported in understanding the importance of evaluation.

Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to build frameworks, capability and relationships that strengthen our service model.

Drive innovation and continuous improvement in how we meet changing customer needs and expectations.
We are looking for someone who:
Combines strategic thinking, curiosity, professional values, and a strong customer service ethos; who can lead the development of resilient, trusted, and forward-looking information services for Auckland Libraries.
Qualifications and Experience:

Recognised library qualification or tertiary qualification (NZQCF minimum Level 7) in a related discipline.

At least 4 years’ experience in the delivery of library services.

Proven experience in being the SME within a team of professionals and specialists.

Ability to influence and advocate for operational direction.

Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and willingness to engage with current professional issues, trends, and technologies.

LIANZA registration and/or ARANZ membership is required.

This role will be based at Central City Library and will work 40 hours per week.

This is a band G role, we expect to appoint the successful candidate at a salary of $88-$105k per annum, dependant on skills and experience.
