He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

Auckland Council’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing department has a fixed term opportunity until March 2026 for a Contractor Safety Business Analyst to join the team. 


This role is pivotal in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of contractors, their employees, volunteers, and others involved. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating a safer working environment and upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.
 

Your primary responsibility will be to support an organisation-wide initiative to develop and implement the Contractor Safety Management Framework, including an ongoing maintenance programme. This role is crucial for the successful delivery of these comprehensive projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Business analysis: data and cost benefit analysis, supporting the development of business cases, document writing and testing, process mapping and other activities to support the Contractor Safety Management Framework.
  • Planning, organising and project support: document management, publishing content, reporting, risk and issue identification. 
  • Relationship management: maintaining relationships and communicating effectively to stakeholders.

We will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements:

 

  • business analyst, planning and prioritisation skills at enterprise level
  • ability to develop effective partnerships
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt messaging across a wide audience
  • ability to multitask and work within the context of uncertainty and complexity
