He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Council’s Governance and Engagement department has a fixed term opportunity until early April 2026 for a Consultation Analyst to join the Auckland Insights team. 

This is a critical role for the Council and will focus on coordinating and delivering analysis of public consultation feedback to ensure the views of Aucklanders are represented in decision-making. The role contributes to high-profile, city-shaping decisions by ensuring feedback is well captured, analysed, and shared in a meaningful way.

You could expect to work on:

• preparing feedback forms and submission processes for major public consultations
• managing data flows, submissions, and documentation across multiple projects
• using Excel and other tools to organise and analyse public feedback
• supporting temporary staff during consultation periods and ensuring accurate data processing
• collaborating with internal teams to deliver consultation reporting on time and to standard

He kōrero mōu: About you

This role requires experience coordinating complex processes involving multiple steps and stakeholders. You will have worked in similar roles within large, fast-paced, or public-facing organisations.

We will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements:

• strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets and formulae
• experience coordinating projects or processes with many moving parts
• the ability to manage data entry and ensure quality and consistency
• confident working with templates, forms, or structured feedback formats
• comfortable working to deadlines and juggling competing priorities

This role has a remuneration range of $95,000-$104,000

Our employer Kiwisaver contribution is additional to base salary offered.
