He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We’re looking for an organised and motivated Programme Coordinator, to join our Volunteering & Environmental Programmes Team in a part-time role. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about the environment and community education and is seeking a flexible, purpose-driven opportunity.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the development and delivery of ecological volunteering and environmental programmes in local parks across the Auckland region. You’ll work closely with Programme and Park Rangers to help shape high quality programmes and initiatives that reflect the needs of our communities, customers, and local boards.
This will include:
- Developing and streamlining systems and processes to support smooth programme delivery
- Providing core admin support – managing spreadsheets, bookings, and workshop logistics
- Liaising with partners and suppliers to ensure everything is in place to make each event or initiative run smoothly
- Gathering insights to evaluate programme outcomes and feeding insights and recommendations back to the team to help improve future delivery
- Assisting with light marketing and communications activities, including promotional initiatives in collaboration with our communications and social media team
He kōrero mōu: About you
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a natural organiser—someone who’s detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoys juggling multiple tasks without missing a beat. You’re the kind of person who anticipates needs, takes initiative, and helps bring order and energy to a busy, purpose-driven team.
Ideally, you’ll bring experience in areas like environmental education, community training, conservation, or not-for-profit programme delivery—particularly in nature-based or sustainability-focused spaces. You know what it takes to coordinate meaningful workshops or events, and you’re confident supporting others to make things happen smoothly.
