He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We are seeking exceptional senior financial candidates, who have a “hands-on” and “can-do” attitude.   This role is aimed at someone who has a strong commercial finance background, but equally important is that you are a relationship builder and a people person looking to work with the RFA business units to help develop their growth plans and help create additional business revenue opportunities for them.

Reporting to the General Manager Finance, you will be responsible for the leadership of the financial advisory, performance reporting, financial planning and asset planning teams. 

He kōrero mōu: About you

This is a varied role requiring outstanding commercial and financial acumen as well as excellent communication skills. You’ll need a collaborative approach, and your CV will clearly indicate your previous successes gained while working in other senior commercial accounting positions.  You’ll relish the chance to actively contribute, debate, improve and support key business people.

You will engage with senior business leaders across RFA to;

  • understand financial requirements and address underlying issues;
  • provide financial and commercial insights to drive better divisional performance;
  • support various parts of the group to prepare CAPEX / investment appraisals; and
  • provide support and guidance with forecasting and budgeting requirements.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • prior commercial or senior financial leadership experience within a large business;
  • accounting qualification preferred but applications from those with high relevance will also be encouraged;
  • excellent communication skills;
  • strong leadership skills; and
  • a proven ability to manage, motivate and develop people and successful track record managing teams.
