He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Council’s Group Strategy, Transformation and Partnerships division has a 12-month fixed term opportunity for a Change Manager – Strategic Projects to join the team.

This is a critical role for the Council and will focus on delivering strategic programmes that span cross-council, including supporting the Better Value Projects (BVP) programme and other key strategic programmes.  The BVP programme is about our obligation to get value for the money we spend on projects, and challenging ourselves to do some things differently so that our limited resources go further, and we can deliver more and better outcomes for Aucklanders.

You could expect to work on:

  • delivery of the change and communications plans for the BVP programme
  • thought leadership with the BVP programme manager on behaviour and culture change for a large programme with several diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • working with other change and project/programme professionals to ensure we are working collaboratively with other pieces of work that are effecting organisational change
  • other strategic programmes which span across council and group
