He angitūtanga: The opportunity  
Our Corporate Support Service department currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Category Administrator to join the team.  You will provide procurement and contract administration support to Category Services, and to Print and Category Specialists to ensure all orders are complete and current, and correctly filed once the orders has been completed. Key responsibilities will include:
• Liaise with suppliers on behalf of the organisation from quotation to delivery and invoicing
• Regular communicating with vendors and providing feedback to them as and when requested
• Assist with end-to-end process for contract and agreement management, and support with any reviews as required
• Maintain all records so they meet with Auckland Council contract and legal requirements
• Process vendor invoices within required timeframes, complying with relevant regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Proficiently action contract purchase orders to correct DFA level for team/unit/department or division
• Maintain contract purchase order integrity
• Review and release blocked invoices (GR/IR out of balance) relating to contracts purchase orders
• Competently provide technical advice and support on income/revenue with external parties which require monitoring, reporting, and creation of invoices
• Support with undertaking financial year-end process in relation to contracts

A self - motivated individual with a high degree of initiative and the ability to balance competing demands! You will need to have excellent contact with our internal and external customers. The ability to work in collaborative relationships, while providing effective support across the division.   Previous experience in a coordination or team admin position preferred.  IT savvy professional who can manage/learn at a fast pace! Naturally, you would be driven and passionate about delivering a high standard of customer service.
