Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events are the trusted leaders in performing arts, culture, entertainment, and events. 
We are seeking experienced café staff to work across the many cafés at our venues including the Aotea Centre, The Civic, and the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki as part of the Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events team.

As custodian to some of the most iconic venues in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, we are New Zealand’s only major integrated performing arts centre, underpinned by a commercial conventions business, with a focus on presenting the best of national and international performing arts, conventions, meetings, and entertainment, as well as a range of community-focused programmes that all contribute towards a culturally rich Auckland.

He angitūtanga: The opportunity
This role involves order taking, food service, POS (point of sale) and cleaning, with excellent customer service as your focus. 
Your ability to work under pressure is a must, as this role is in a busy location, and you will be expected to be on your feet for lengthy periods. 

He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: 

-    A passion for customer and food and beverage service.
-    Previous café or restaurant experience. 
-    High standard of personal presentation and hygiene
-    Excellent communication and social skills
-    The ability to think on your feet and work under pressure. 

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer
This is a casual position, working as and when required. Scheduled over a seven-day roster, the shifts allocated will depend on the businesses’ requirements.
