Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is the home of art for Auckland, its people and visitors, and a cultural leader in Aotearoa New Zealand. The Gallery’s purpose is to be a creative catalyst for art and ideas, offering transformational experiences that strengthen and enrich our communities. Audiences are at the heart of Gallery activities, which extend from our redeveloped and expanded site in the arts and learning precinct of central Auckland.
We are looking for a Business Services Administrator to join our Operations team and support the smooth day-to-day running of the Gallery’s internal business services.
This is a varied and hands-on role where you will provide administrative and operational support across the organisation. Working closely with the Senior Operations Manager and Business Services Coordinator, you will help ensure our office systems, processes and shared spaces operate efficiently so staff can focus on delivering exceptional programmes and experiences for our audiences.
Key aspects of the role include coordinating office administration, supporting staff inductions, managing travel bookings and records, responding to enquiries received through the Gallery website, maintaining internal systems, and liaising with central Tātaki Auckland Unlimited services such as facilities, security and workplace support.
You will also contribute to maintaining organised records and archives, support internal meetings and committees, and assist with improving processes that help the Gallery operate smoothly.
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday onsite at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, with some flexibility around start and finish times. To read the full position description, click HERE

You are an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys supporting others and keeping systems running smoothly.
With strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills, you are comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service for both staff and visitors.
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Proven experience in an administrative, coordination, or office support role
- Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- The ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Experience coordinating travel, records management, or office systems would be advantageous.
While experience in the arts sector is not essential, an interest in the cultural sector and the work of Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki would be welcomed.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $65,000 per annum, depending on experience (Band D).
