He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We are on the hunt for an exceptional HR Business Partner to join their People team! Our programmes help make Auckland a desirable place to live, work, visit, invest and do business. We love what we do, and we love making a difference! At the core of Auckland Unlimited are our passionate people and their commitment to making a difference. 

In this role, you will partner with TAU's executive and people leaders to identify, align and embed people initiatives based on business need and organisational objectives. You will coach and advise leaders, providing expertise in developing solutions for people related issues with key focus: Build organisational capability and culture to support growth ambitions including customer experience, build strong foundations in process and policy, provide targeted advice, support and guidance to managers on all people related matters (employee relations, change management).

The scope of the role covers end to end HR requirements for the assigned portfolios. This includes driving organisation development and culture initiatives as well as overseeing the effectiveness of the people operation, working closely with functions in Council who implement many transactions on behalf of TAU.



He kōrero mōu: About you


A seasoned HR professional, you will bring 10+ years of experience working in complex HR environment, trusted business advisor to senior leadership, and subject matter expert in the delivery of HR expertise. 

Tertiary qualified, you will have demonstrated significant expertise across the full spectrum of people related functions. You’ll be able to confidently support leaders to manage significant people challenges and bring proven experience in change processes for mergers, workforce planning and organisation development. 

With strong communication and influencing skills, you will have ability to understand business challenges and translate into commercial guidance and advice.
