We are a looking for a talented HSW Business Improvement and Change Manager to join us!

 

The opportunity
 

Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, you will manage, track and undertake (with help from the team) continuous improvement projects in Health and Safety, especially to change our system of work and practices to support engagement of our people and develop a proactive safety culture that will allow Auckland Council to become a leading organisation for Health & Safety.
 

You will contribute towards the HSW team’s high performance by providing professional, effective and efficient management of the governance and information systems and processes necessary to manage the HSW function
 

The role will look into the HSW technology space and through creative people centric solutions work with the team towards ‘safety differently’ methodologies to enable and engage our people to do safety.
 

You will build, promote and visibly champion a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture.


About you
 

You will have excellent influencing and relationship management skills, strong people management experience.

Highly innovative and systems savvy, you will bring significant project management/business improvement experience preferably in large complex organisation

 

A strong influencer and relationship builder, you will be solutions focussed and show evidence of driving continuous improvement. You will have well developed political acumen, be savvy and have the ability to engage with a wide range of people in a busy and complex environment. Strong written and oral communication skills are a key component as well as business and financial management skills. You will be a change agent with experience of implementing health and safety to effect and reinforce culture change

 

Health & Safety knowledge would eb advantage but not essential however business improvement background  is essential alongside agile experience and continuous improvement.
