He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

The Business and Process Improvement team delivers business improvement initiatives for the wider Finance Division. This broad role requires a passionate person to work with our customers to identify, prioritise, and implement a pipeline of work across a range of financial disciplines. 

 

Reporting to the Business and Process Improvement Programme Manager, you will ensure continuous improvement initiatives are defined, designed, planned, resourced, and implemented successfully. You will drive opportunities for performance development and increase engagement with and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Your day-to-day activities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Delivering outstanding customer service while building and maintaining strong relationships with council stakeholders.
  • Integrate technology initiatives to enhance work efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Provide thorough end-to-end process documentation and develop standardized reporting.
  • Take responsibility for training, guidance, and fostering continuous improvement within the team.

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

To succeed in this role, you will bring 8 years of experience leading improvement initiatives across large functional teams, plus a tertiary qualification in a relevant field. You will possess strong data reporting skills, a working knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies, and experience mentoring high-performing teams. Your ability to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and performance, coupled with your expertise in influencing resource utilization in a virtual team environment is advantageous.

 

You should also have strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to make sound decisions in time-sensitive situations.
