We’re looking for a Bridge Controller to join the team based at Wynyard Crossing. The key purpose of this role is to provide operational support for Eke Panuku Development Auckland’s Viaduct Precinct through the effective and efficient operation of the Wynyard Crossing Bridge and effective operation of the CCTV and communications hub.   


Day-to-day you could expect to:

  • Efficiently and effectively operate the Wynyard Crossing lift-bridge having paramount regard for safety of Public and vessels 
  • Manage the coordination between the marina vessel traffic and Wynyard Crossing pedestrian traffic
  • Monitor and operate CCTV surveillance cameras to ensure precinct security and safety of Public and property
  • Assist with marina activities and operations such as vessel movements 
  • Provide effective communications with the marina team

This role requires an individual who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with boat crews. An exposure to monitoring CCTV in a previous role would also be an advantage. 


Having the below qualifications would be an advantage, however we can assist you in gaining them once you join:

  • RYA Powerboat Level 2
  • RYA VHF Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
