Auckland Zoo is looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Bookings Coordinator to manage and fulfil bookings for our incredible experiences. From animal experiences and VIP tours to birthday parties, school visits and tourist bookings, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless and memorable visit.

 

About the Role:

 

As part of our Business Development team, you’ll be working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You'll liaise with internal teams, manage bookings in our systems, and provide outstanding service to guests before they even arrive at the Zoo!

 

This is a permanent full-time position of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday with some weekends and public holidays required from time to time).

 

The position reports directly to the Venue Operations and Events Advisor.

We are looking for someone who is:

 

  • A customer service superstar – you thrive on making people happy.
  • Highly organised – you can juggle multiple bookings and deadlines with ease.
  • Excellent communicator – you engage with customers and internal teams confidently.
  • Tech-savvy – experience with booking systems like Ungerboeck/Momentus is a plus.
  • Sales-oriented – able to upsell products to maximise revenue.
  • Flexible & proactive – able to work weekends from time to time and respond to last-minute changes.

 

A qualification in customer service, tourism, business administration, or a related field is desirable but not essential.

The salary for this role is $60,000  -   $65,000  (per annum, skills and experience dependant), four weeks annual leave, rising to five weeks after three years, and a range of partnership discounts and benefits; a snapshot of which can be viewed Here
