Auckland Council is on a continued and significant transformation journey and as a result has grown to become one of the largest Information Communications and Technology Services (ICT) capabilities in New Zealand. This presents a unique opportunity for an experienced ICT professional to come and join us in this exciting complex and energized environment in a full-time permanent role. 

As the BI Report Developer, you will work closely with partner and customer business units across council. You will take accountability of BI reporting operations and support the implementation of business intelligence solutions on time and
within budget using the appropriate BI toolsets and methodologies. 


He kōrero mōu: About you 

It is essential that you have at least 3+ years of proven experience in BI  related areas, of which 2+ years’ of hands-on skills in reporting and analytics tools and applications - SAP BusinessObjects Business and Power BI would be advantageous.


Your strong expertise in SQL Server Management Studio and T-SQL, along with your high level understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence architecture including ETL process, relational and dimensional modelling and solution development will contribute to the success in this role.

Since you will be heavily involved in collaborating with key stakeholders for data and reporting needs, your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be heavily put into practice. One of the key success standards in the role is to ensure a robust Business Intelligence Solutions which are delivered, documented, supported, and has met/exceeded expectations. This said, your resilience and high-level of initiative, resourcefulness and problem-solving ability will be demonstrated as you progress down the line.
