He angitūtanga: The opportunity 

 

We’re looking for an Audit Lead to join our dynamic and highly engaged team for 12 months, where you’ll be conducting physical audits to make sure that maintenance is being delivered to satisfaction from Parks and Community Facilities maintenance contracts, valued at $220M per year.

 

As Audit Lead you’ll visit both open space and built assets and carry out audits that are robust and technically accurate. These audits will help to ensure that contractors are operating at a sufficiently high standard and will contribute to key performance indicators that are used by contract managers.

 

Day to day you can expect to:

 

  • Conduct physical audits to ensure that maintenance is being delivered to contract specifications 
  • Coordinate contract audit processes and procedures for a portfolio of service contracts for Council’s parks, open spaces, buildings and facilities
  • Provide technical audit expertise for operational contracts including, parks and building maintenance
  • Support the setting of a programme of physical works audits for Operations staff

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

This role requires capability in auditing physical works and health and safety audits and inspections.  You’ll have experience in a complex, high volume operations, contract management or physical works audit environment.

 

As a pragmatic individual with political nous who can achieve positive outcomes, you’ll have stakeholder management skills and be a strong communicator with an ability to build rapport with a wide range of people, including contractors and customers.

 

An understanding and knowledge of Local Government, health and safety legislation, Council practices and constraints would be advantageous.

You will be required to have a valid NZ driver's licence due to the nature of the position where you will be required to regularly travel to various Community Facility sites across the Auckland region.
