He angitūtanga: The opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their advisory capability and broaden their experience and visibility across the council group. In this secondment, you’ll support to prepare succinct, well-structured advice as required to support GSS input to key strategic initiatives such as the Transport Reform programme and to the Group Shared Services Board.
You’ll work closely with experienced leaders and colleagues across GSS, gaining valuable exposure to complex organisational and strategic issues. He kōrero mōu: About you
We’re looking for someone who can cut through complexity and communicate with clarity. You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to organise your work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
An understanding of governance and decision-making processes — and ideally a background in business administration or public policy — will help you succeed in this role. You’ll also enjoy building trusted relationships and working collaboratively with people across the organisation to deliver high-quality advice.
