Auckland Council’s Recovery Office has an opportunity for a fixed-term full-time Finance Administrator to join the team until September 2025. This role is based in the Auckland City Centre with the flexibility to work from home or a Council hub. 

 

The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality administration support to the Home & Houses recovery team. 

 

You could expect to work on:
•    Providing excellent and robust general administrative tasks
•    Escalating sensitive and important issues to the Head of Homes & Houses Recovery or Programme Manager
•    Updating and maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems, files and records to ensure accurate data
•    Assisting and preparing the delivery of successful meetings 

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

This role requires experience in the business administration support space. Ideally, you will have a knack for business acumen and political nous. You will likely have experience in large, complex and political organisations.  

Also, the ability to work across a diverse team that will require support from this role, managing your workload and a good ability to understand and prioritise work.

 

We are specifically looking for:
•    Demonstrated ability to use various computer software systems
•    High level communication; both written and verbal 
•    Previous experience in administrative support, office management, personal assistant or similar roles
