Auckland Council's Group Treasury department is looking for an Accounts Receivable Team Member to join the Accounting Services team. You'll join a close-knit team of 10. This is a great opportunity to grow your experience in a large and well-known government organisation.
In the Accounts Receivable role you will work on processing large numbers of payment transactions, from receiving, recording, investigation and resolution. You will ensure that accurate information is always maintained to deliver high standard of service to both internal and external customers. You may also be required to do additional adhoc duties as a learning development opportunity.
This is a permanent part time opportunity working 3 days per week.
You can also expect to work on:
• Inbound and Outbound calls
• Ensure that all customer remittances are properly accounted for, and all receipts are correctly coded
• Ensure all payments processing and queries are maintained and processed in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Build and maintain effective relationships in collaboration with other business units within Council and CCOs.

To be successful in this role you will need to have some experience in similar accounting roles and the ability to work under pressure. You will have demonstrated great time management and are a strong team player with a great attitude!
A successful candidate will ideally have experience in:
- Basic accounting and reconciliation
- Previous experience in a high transactional volume environment
- Ability to work on multiple systems
- Passion and experience for, working with customers
