He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

No day will be the same! We’re looking for an experienced barista and FOH superstar to join Auckland Council’s Café team at our newly opened café in downtown Auckland 
This very busy and fast-paced environment offers a wide range of coffee and counter food. This role will suit someone who lives and breathes coffee and takes enormous pride in giving people the best possible coffee experience - with every brew. In addition to being a great barista, you’ll need to have the ability and willingness to assist our front-of-house team by providing counter or table service if required.
 
He kōrero mōu: About you

 

Barista skills are essential. Naturally, you will be very customer-focused with experience making different types of coffees and working in a fast-paced and busy café environment! You will need to have a good level of barista and FOH experience. You’re a self-driven person who can handle daily challenges.
A Liquor License (LCQ)/Food Safety Certificate is preferred but not a deal breaker. You will need to have a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace! You work well with others and you’re always willing to assist others when needed.
 
***This role is deemed safety sensitive and in line with Auckland Council policy, you will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing***
