He angitūtanga: The opportunity


The Café Supervisor is customer-centric role, primarily responsible for the customer experience our visitors are offered by the café.


You will manage aspects of the café on a day-to-day basis, including the supervision of a small team. 


This role is also responsible for managing F&B operations to deliver events as required by the client.


Key responsibilities and expectations include:


  • High levels of professionalism and personal presentation, as this is a customer-facing role
  • Trains and directs Front of House attendants and any additional staff
  • Regularly reviewing rosters to ensure the café is appropriately resourced
  • Maintaining documentation as required for the café, e.g. H&S register, roster variances, stock trends etc
  • Ensuring a high level of cleanliness and hygiene are met at all times
  • Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships internally and externally
  • Maintain knowledge of the event schedule affecting the café, and engage with Event team as required
  • Responsible for organising the repair and maintenance of café equipment and machinery
  • Ensuring stock is ordered for the café on time, and maintain good level of product inventory for daily service
  • Ensure the overall smooth running of the café during events

Our ideal applicant has the proven ability to manage and motivate staff, and comes equipped with strong organisational abilities to ensure the smooth operations our café. With between 1-3 years’ experience in bar service and food handling, with supervisory experience, you will be able to hit the ground running in this role.


Your customer centric nature allows you to always think about the experience visitors have from their perspective, while ensuring the café is operated in a way that serves to create a pleasant experience for our visitors.
