Auckland Council’s on-site CBD café is looking for a passionate, self-motivated Chef to join our team!
 
Our busy and vibrant staff café and canteen is in the heart of Auckland City. You will be working alongside a dedicated and passionate team of 8 chefs and the wider catering team who love what they do. Provide cost effective, high quality and healthy nutritious food and beverages for daily meals, meetings, functions and for a variety of exciting in-house celebratory events.
 
The work is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, 5am – 1:30pm daily, leaving your afternoons free.  (There is also occasionally some weekend function work paid at overtime rates). 
 
He kōrero mōu: About you
 

  • Ideally, minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Full or Restricted Drivers licence
  • Great communication & interpersonal skills
  • Able to multi-task effectively 
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills

 

Previous larder or baking skills are a bonus but not essential.

The salary range for this role is $58,000- $60,000 

Our employer Kiwisaver contribution is additional to base salary offered
