He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

Our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office team is growing and we are looking for three exceptional Business Analyst to join the team on a 12-month fixed term.  In this role you will identify, document, prioritise, implement, manage, and realise benefits of specific process design, management, and improvements projects.  This includes:

 

  • Consult with the business and key stakeholders to prioritise and shape the backlog, prioritisation around business value.
  • Apply a range of analytical techniques to uncover the root cause of business issues, facilitate rōpū and business units in the identification, quantification, prioritisation and implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Share knowledge and coach other Business Analysts.
  • Champion continuous improvement and improved experiences across Tātaki Auckland Unlimited.
  • Engage with end users and subject matter experts to identify, develop, document, validate and endorse the requirements of their business unit for key initiatives.
  • Help organise, participate in, and facilitate relevant meetings and workshops with key stakeholders to elicit business requirements.
  • Provide teams delivering change (including technology change) with requirements, process maps and user stories.

 

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

You will have excellent communication and time management skills, including a high level of problem solving and decision-making skills, using professional judgement. You will also bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ process improvement experience.
  • Proven experience in working with stakeholders to clearly convey solutions and observations to others.
  • Experience working with large stakeholder groups, or on large complex projects.
  • Previous experience within a public sector role is desirable.
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well a process mapping tools such as Visio.
