As custodian to some of the most iconic venues, we are New Zealand's only major integrated performing arts centre, underpinned by a commercial conventions business, with a focus on presenting the best of national and international performing arts, conventions, meetings, and entertainment.

As such our Sound and Vision Technician position plays a critical role in assisting in the technical delivery of Audio-Visual services to all events undertaken by our Technical Production Department.

 

He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Technical Sound and Vision, the Sound and Vision Technician is integral in the production team, assisting in the delivery of events across the organisation - together with day-to-day operations, training, & maintenance of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited's Audio Visual inventory.

The successful applicant will assist stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve their desired outcome. As a Sound and Vision Technician, you will pack in, operate, pack out, and properly store all aspects of technical production equipment, including but not limited to audio consoles, vision mixers, projectors, stage deck, truss, cables, and accessories.

 

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

  • As an experienced Audio-Visual Technician, you will have experience in a performing arts centre, music venue and/or corporate Audio-Visual experience from a recognised A/V company
  • You have knowledge from experience, in the planning, preparation and execution of successful Audio-Visual events of all sizes and shapes
  • You will have working knowledge of audio and visual systems, time management skills and have an understanding of reading CAD plans and event documentation, and H&S safety standards as they apply to the safe working practices in our industry.
