Auckland Live and Conventions is a key cultivator of live events in Auckland. We champion Auckland internationally to attract big-name shows and concerts, collaborate with arts companies and festivals and introduce children to the excitement of the stage.
 
Auckland Live and Conventions presents events across Auckland's major performing arts venues and stadiums - Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, The Civic, Aotea Square, Bruce Mason Centre, Viaduct Events Centre, Go Media Stadium, QBE Stadium, Western Springs Stadium, Shed 10 and Queens Wharf.

Tātaki Auckland Unlimited’s Auckland Live and Conventions department has an opportunity for a Technical Sales Executive within the Venue Technical Sales team.
 
In this role you will be managing the supply of technical services and productions requirements within the Auckland Live Presenter Services & Auckland Conventions portfolio.
 
Day-to-day you could expect to work on:
•    Maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships internally and externally
•    Working with the venue sales team to build relationships with existing and potential clients
•    Monitoring the project objectives and deadlines as required
•    Providing monthly reporting to management as required and ensuring responsibility for the billing process

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, has a positive attitude, and is adaptable in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be someone who communicates well, builds strong working relationships, and takes pride in delivering high-quality service to clients and colleagues alike.

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
•    Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hospitality, event management, equipment, or staff management
•    Technical skills suitable for standard or complex setups within venues
•    Familiarity with relevant computer systems used for event planning or coordination
•    Experience maintaining and managing technical or event-related equipment
•    A background in technical theatre is advantageous
