He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

It is an exciting time for our organisation due to the establishment of a Māori Outcomes Delivery Unit and this is an awesome new creative role that reports to the Māori Outcomes Manager.  

 

You will develop and lead our programme of work that will accelerate te reo Māori. 


Help us to ensure te reo is seen, heard, spoken and learnt across the Customer and Community Services Directorate. 

 

Develop and nurture relationships with mana whenua and mataawaka in this strategic role where you are focused on designing and supporting the programme of work to deliver on the aspirations contained in the Auckland Plan and Kia Ora Tāmaki Makaurau (our Māori Performance Management Framework). 

 

As the Programme Lead, you will bring together all those involved to collaborate, taking them on the journey with you to achieving our desired outcomes. 

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

Your background will demonstrate previous experience in programme management backed by a qualification in Māori Development or similar. Ideally you will bring experience in the management of multi-faceted, complex and multistakeholder projects within the public sector. You can manage multiple streams of work and deliver across multiple channels while also sharing your proficiency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga. 

 

Your experience in project planning, analysis, performance monitoring and reporting coupled with your ability to establish and nurture strong partnerships will ensure our priorties are effectively delivered.  

Your policuitcal acumen and understanding of government and local iwi will also be highly regarded.
