Specialist Marketing 

 

Note: This is a fixed term appointment until approx July 2026 with full time Mon-Frid hours.

 

 

We are looking for a marketing specialist to join Auckland Council’s Marketing team. In this role, you’ll deliver innovative and engaging campaigns that connect with Aucklanders, support organisational goals, and champion our brand.

 

You’ll work both independently and collaboratively across the wider Marketing and Communications teams, building strong partnerships with agencies, Council Controlled Organisations, elected representatives, and internal stakeholders. This is your chance to contribute to projects that strengthen Auckland’s future while ensuring value for money for our communities.

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

You’ll be a customer-centric marketer with a solid understanding of marketing methodology, a solutions-focused approach, and the ability to engage diverse audiences. You build trusted relationships, deliver compelling campaigns, and value inclusive communications, including te reo Māori and tikanga.

 

To guide you further we need:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing or communication or a related discipline
  • 5 years’ experience in marketing and communications
  •  

Proven experience delivering multi-channel campaigns, with strong stakeholder relationship management skills.

The salary range for this position is $ 95,000 – $105,000k pro rata, per annum, skill set and experience dependant. (Band G)
