He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Auckland Council aims to create dynamic spaces which foster a sense of belonging and are loved by the communities they serve. The Venue Hire team play a key role in this and are responsible for providing 24/7 service to approximately 92,000 customers that use over 150 council run bookable spaces across the region every week.

This position is the main point of face-to-face contact with customers of Council’s community venues. The Service Delivery Coordinator will be tasked with ensuring safe and welcoming facilities for customers and respond to requests for information received at any of the venue locations. This role provides a conduit between customers, the booking experience team, and the community facilities department. Other aspects of this role are:
•    Help customers view, access, and utilise community venues
•    Ensure venues are in excellent condition
•    Facilitate on-site inspections for potential/existing customers 
•    Ensure customers adhere to all venue hire conditions 
•    Identify any venue improvements required and liaise with relevant parties to action
•    Provide an outstanding customer experience

You will be system savvy, competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications and can easily adapt to new systems. Ideally you will have worked within a professional environment and easily build excellent working relationships. Your proactive nature along with your great attention to details and exceptional verbal and written communication skills will make you perfect for this role. The ideal candidate will bring with them a positive 'can do' attitude and be a team player. 


A full, clean NZ driver’s licence is essential as this role requires frequent travel across the region.

Please note: Flexibility is important for this full-time role (40 hour per week). The hours will be between 6am to 12:30am, 7 days a week.
