You’ll be joining the Insights and Analysis Team in the newly formed Connected Communities department. We’re integral in providing the single source of truth for performance reporting, analysis and insights that enables our department to achieve its strategic and operational goals and create greater outcomes for Tāmaki Makaurau. A key part of our team’s role is to become trusted advisors and champions of evidence-based planning and decision-making.

This is a unique opportunity for a curious, analytical mind who is comfortable with ambiguity, able to navigate large, complex organisations, and is passionate about influencing positive change for Aucklanders.

He kōrero mōu: About you

As a Senior Analyst, you will develop a deep understanding of our services and customers through research and data analysis. You will engage with various stakeholders to understand their information needs, conduct and present meaningful analysis of our rich quantitative and qualitative data. You will be involved in designing or enhancing our integrated performance measurement framework, so our metrics are meaningful and help our services and customer thrive. This role is also responsible for managing our customer feedback programme and driving collaborative research projects as required.

You are a strategic and holistic thinker who can see the bigger picture yet dive into the details. You have proven ability to foster collaborative thinking and experience with developing performance measurement frameworks. Confident with Excel, and you enjoy using business intelligence tools such as Power BI to consume and analyse data.


Strong presentation and interpersonal skills will be essential to success. Experience with research and project management as well as business case development will be an advantage, but not essential.
