He kōrero mōu | About you
Te Waka Kerewai – The Māori Outcomes Delivery Unit is casting a net out to capture the interest of individuals who believe they may possess a unique set of skills in the areas of bringing mātauranga Māori alive in every day usable ways, designing engaging and innovative collateral and learning experiences, and providing robust strategic advice around the implementation and embedding of key Māori-centric frameworks that are designed to improve outcomes for and add value to whānau and hapori Māori across Tāmaki Makaurau.
We are looking for individuals that:

Have a strong command of Te Reo Māori
-
Have knowledge of tikanga and kawa Māori in a diverse range of settings
-
Can showcase their lived experience within Te Ao Māori or Te Taiao
-
Can provide evidence of coaching and mentoring to improve kaimahi practice
-
Are able to design, develop and deliver high quality learning experiences
-
Are confident and highly competent workshop and wānanga facilitators
-
Are comfortable in engaging in strategic thinking, conversations and advice
Advantageous skills and experiences:

Knowledge and experience of systems change
-
Co-design and collaboration skills
-
Ability to champion and lead projects

Understanding of testing and prototyping fundamentals

Experience with Auckland council Māori-centric frameworks, in particular;

He kōrero whakamārama | About the role
As a member of the Māori Service Innovation Team, you will play a significant role in developing and embedding key Māori-centric frameworks across our unit and council partners we work closely with. You will hold responsibility for the design, development and delivery of engaging learning experiences. The intent of these would be practice transformation and/or enhancement to elevate the quality of services, offerings and ultimately outcomes for whānau and hapori Māori across Tāmaki Makaurau.

This is an exciting time to join our unit which has a key focus on contributing to the implementation of ‘Kia Ora te Whānau’, and ‘Kia Ora Te Rangatahi’, two of the 10 Strategic Outcomes of the Māori Outcomes Performance Measurement Framework - Kia Ora Tāmaki Makaurau.
