The screen sector is a vital contributor to Auckland's creative economy, attracting international investment, creating local jobs, and showcasing Tāmaki Makaurau to the world. Screen Auckland supports productions of every scale by facilitating filming across the region, building strong industry partnerships, and helping ensure Auckland remains one of the world's leading screen destinations.

 

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Screen Auckland Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Screen, you'll play a central role in keeping the team running smoothly through high-quality coordination, administration, financial support, communications, reporting, and event delivery.

 

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll coordinate team operations, manage shared enquiries, support budgeting and reporting, organise industry events and hosting programmes, and help maintain the systems and processes that underpin Screen Auckland's work.

You'll also develop a practical understanding of our film permitting processes, providing support with straightforward permit applications when needed and working alongside our Facilitation team to ensure productions receive timely, professional service.

You'll be an organised, detail-oriented coordinator who enjoys balancing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service. You're comfortable working across administration, finance, communications and stakeholder coordination, and take pride in keeping processes running efficiently.

 

You may come from a project coordination, administration, events, communications, local government or creative industries background, and you're confident using business systems and Microsoft 365 to manage information accurately.

 

Most importantly, you'll bring:

 

  • Experience coordinating administration, projects or team operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a full New Zealand Driver’s license.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience supporting financial administration, purchase orders, invoicing or budget tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confidence working with digital systems and learning new platforms quickly.
  • Sound judgement, knowing when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate.
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine willingness to support your team.
  • A commitment to providing professional customer service and continuous improvement.
  • An appreciation for Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to work respectfully with Māori and diverse communities.

 

An interest in Auckland's screen industry, film production, events or the creative sector is a requirement.
