We’re offering an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team at 12-month fixed term as Programme Support within the Farming team. Join our Regional Parks team and play a key role in delivering exceptional farming operations. park services and environmental outcomes for Auckland.

 

You’ll provide operational and administrative support to the Farm and senior managers, ensuring smooth coordination across staff, contractors, and council teams. From procurement and accounts to reporting and project planning, you’ll keep programmes on track and information flowing.

 

We’re looking for someone proactive, organised, and adaptable—ready to anticipate needs, solve problems, and represent the team professionally.

Programme Support is the backbone of Regional Parks. You’ll keep projects moving by managing administration, procurement, and reporting, ensuring accurate data and smooth communication across teams. Your proactive approach helps senior managers focus on strategic priorities and deliver exceptional park services for Auckland.

 

Ngā kawenga matua: Key responsibilities

 

As Programme Support, you will:

  • Operational Coordination – Manage multiple tasks and keep workflows smooth.
  • Relationship Building – Build trust and work effectively with managers, Rangers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Organisation & Planning – Prioritise, plan, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Financial & Procurement Skills – Handle purchase orders, invoices, and support budget tracking.
  • Communication – Prepare clear reports, correspondence, and convey information confidently.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

We’re looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, capable of anticipating issues and taking proactive action.

You’ll bring solid financial and procurement knowledge, confidence with IT systems and council databases, and the ability to support HR processes such as rostering and recruitment.

 

What you’ll bring:


• Minimum NCEA Level 2 qualification.
• Certificate or degree in Business Studies, Administration, or a relevant field (desirable).
• At least three years’ experience in administration, customer service, or reception roles.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
