He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Production team on a full time,12-month fixed term basis at Auckland Live as a Production Manager.
Reporting into the Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and compiling technical requirements behind the events held at Auckland Live and Auckland Convention Venues.
Additionally, you will take on a technical leadership role for events produced or promoted by Auckland Live to ensure these events are delivered on schedule and to budget. You will be a key liaison between the Account Manager, Technical Managers, Event Planners, Venue Technicians and last but not least, our external clients/stakeholders.

He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a background in the Events space for at least 5 years. Your practical experience in all aspects of event technology including staging, sound, vision and lighting will be key. You do not need to have experience as a Production Manager to apply for this role. We are open to different type of applicants based on your experience in Events.
Our ideal applicant is equipped with strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure success in your relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to set priorities, organise and delegate will be critical to your success.
Additionally, experience in event coordination or stage management across diverse live events is desirable. A background in large-scale corporate events—such as launches, awards dinners, or conferences—will also set you up for success in this role.

This is a full-time, fixed term opportunity. While the role typically operates Monday to Friday, events can take place any day of the week, so some evening and weekend work may be required. We support flexible working where possible, with schedules shaped around business and event needs.
