As a People Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for our kaimahi, delivering high-quality, consistent, and timely HR advice, guidance, and support. You’ll play a key role in building organisational capability by empowering our people to confidently navigate and make the most of our HR systems, tools, and resources.
This is a fast-paced, phone-based role involving both inbound and outbound calls. You’ll support a diverse workforce of over 8,000 staff, responding to a wide range of HR queries and delivering a positive, people-focused experience in every interaction.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You’ll bring at least three years’ experience as a trusted business advisor, with strong expertise in delivering HR operational support.
Ideally, you’ve worked in a high-volume, customer-focused environment and have a high level of emotional intelligence, along with the resilience to navigate challenging situations. Some familiarity with New Zealand employment legislation or Auckland Council employment policies would be an advantage.
You’ll be a confident communicator, both written and verbal, and comfortable balancing competing priorities while staying organised. As the role involves working with our internal systems, you’ll also be confident using technology.
Above all, you’ll demonstrate a high level of professionalism and be comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information.

We are expecting to appoint the successful applicant at a salary of between $78 - $82k per annum, depending upon skills & experience.
