He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Auckland's Libraries have a strong community focus and we are an extraordinary destination for the people of Auckland.  Our Mobile and Access team needs a dynamic person who will reach out to communities in need and provide a modern library outreach service. The focus of this role is to connect with Pasifika communities and assist them with digital and information services.
He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this role you’ll need to be able to collaborate constructively with a range of communities and networks and be prepared to support school and early childhood programmes.

You will have good digital skills and be well connected in Pasifika communities. You’ll ideally bring existing relationships and networks with the Pasifika Community to the role and be keen to develop new networks. You will have experience working with Pasifika people and a good understanding of Pasifika language.

Flexibility, adaptability, superb people skills, a willingness to learn, a passion for customer service and a can-do attitude are essential. You will need to drive a van, and be confident in delivering outreach on your own or with others.
Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer
Here you’ll have the training and opportunity to work across the largest public libraries in Australasia and serve one of New Zealand’s fastest growing cities.  In return, you’ll be immersed in a team of remarkable and talented people who have a passion for people, their community and who love making a difference in helping to make Auckland a vibrant place to live, work and play.
We are flexible where this role will be based, and it will be expected that you are willing to travel to provide services to Pasifika communities across Tamaki Makaurau. We will provide full training and support required for the role.
Applications close Monday 23rd May at 11.59PM
