Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events (ACVE) is looking for a commercially minded and digitally focussed Marketing Manager to help shape the future of Auckland's premier business events portfolio.

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

This is an opportunity for an experienced marketing professional ready to make their mark on one of Auckland's most recognised venue portfolios.

 

You'll lead strategic and integrated marketing activity that drives demand for ACVE's venues and services, while helping position Auckland as a leading destination for business events both nationally and internationally.

 

A key focus of the role will be leading a significant website transformation, including the revision and launch of a refreshed ACVE website and the implementation of a best-practice content strategy and playbook that supports sales, brand growth and audience engagement.

 

Working closely with sales teams, industry partners and internal stakeholders, you'll bring our venues, customer stories and event experiences to life across campaigns, channels and customer touchpoints.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing plans aligned to sales, growth and revenue objectives
  • Lead the revision, development and successful launch of the refreshed ACVE website
  • Establish and implement the content strategy and playbook across digital, campaign and sales channels
  • Managing the organic social media activity and supporting the management of ACVE's digital channels, including website, paid social media and EDM content and build.
  • Create compelling, audience-led content for business event organisers, industry partners and trade audiences
  • Deliver campaigns, activations, trade shows and industry events across domestic and international markets
  • Collaborate with sales teams, agencies and industry stakeholders to maximise commercial outcomes
  • Monitor performance, manage budgets and provide insights to support continuous improvement
  • Champion brand consistency and excellence across all customer touchpoints

You’ll be a strategic marketer who combines creativity with commercial thinking and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

You’ll bring:

  • 6+ years' experience in business marketing, brand plus digital marketing roles
  • Proven experience with website projects and delivering successful digital initiatives
  • Strong content marketing capability, including content strategy implementation
  • Expertise in digital marketing, analytics and optimisation
  • Excellent copywriting, storytelling and content development skills and able to use the latest tools such as Canva, Hootsuite etc
  • Experience delivering integrated campaigns to deadlines and budgets
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to connect marketing activity to business outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
